하나님께서는 택하신 하나님의 종에게 하나님의 뜻을 알게 하시고 의로우신
예수 그리스도를 보게하시며 예수 그리스도의 입에서 나오는 음성을 듣게 하십니다. 그 이유는
하나님께서는 그 하나님의 종으로 하여금 예수 그리스도의 증인이 되어서 보고 들은 일을 모든 사람에게 말하게 하기 위한 것입니다(사도행전 22:14-15, 현대인의 성경). 우리는 예수 그리스도의 증인입니다(1:8). 우리는 보고 들은 일을 모든 사람에게 전하면 됩니다(참고: 요한일서1:1-3).
