주님이 "오라"(Come)고 나를 부르시면 나는 물 위라도 걷고 싶습니다. 나는 주님의 부르심(calling)에 순종하여 먼저 믿음으로 "배에서 내려"오길 원합니다. 그 이유는 주님이 계시지 않은 배 안에서 편안하게 있는 것보다 주님이 서 계신 물 위로 걷는데 더 나은 줄 믿기 때문입니다. 비록 나는 "바람을 보고 무서워 빠"질 줄 알지만 그래도 나는 주님의 부르심에 순종하여 배에서 내려 물 위를 걷고 싶습니다. 그 이유는 나는 '주님, 살려주십시오'라고 부르짖으면 주님께서 "즉시 손을 내밀어" 나를 붙잡아 주실 줄 믿기 때문입니다. 더 이상 나는 주님이 계시지 않은 배 안에 있기 보다 주님이 계신 물 위를 걷고 싶습니다(마태복음 14장 24-32절).
