사탄은 우리가 약해지길 원합니다.  그 이유는 사탄은 우리를 여러 죄악의 줄로 묶어서 우리를 복종시키길 원하고 있기 때문입니다(참고: 사사기 16:5, 7, 11, 현대인의 성경).   사탄은 우리가 다시 죄에게 종 노릇 하는 것을 원하고 있습니다(로마서 6:6).
