 변질되기보다 변화 받아야 합니다.





스스로 보잘것 없는 존재로 여기던 사울 왕은 하나님의 명령을 거역하고 범죄한 후에는 "적어도 내 백성의 지도자들과 모든 이스라엘 군중 앞에서 만이라도 나를 높여 주시요"라고 사무엘에게 요청을 했습니다(사무엘상 15:17, 30, 현대인의 성경).  한 마디로, 사울은 변질되었습니다.  겸손하던 자가 교만해진 것입니다.  교만하던 자가 계속해서 겸손해져야지, 겸손하던 자가 계속해서 교만해지면 안 됩니다.
