이스라엘 사람들은 자기들을 블레셋 사람에게 구해 낼 이스라엘 왕을 그리도 원하고 있었던 반면에 사울은 잃어버린 나귀를 찾기를 그리도 원하고 있었습니다(사무엘상 9:20, 현대인의 성경).   그런데 하나님께서는 잃어버린 죄인 한 명이 회개하고 하나님께 돌아오기를 그리도 원하고 계십니다(누가복음 15:7, 10, 24, 32, 현대인의 성경).
