God’s love, which is stronger than death, is causing me to continue walking the path of the mission the Lord has given me (John 6:1–15). “At that very time some Pharisees came and said to Him, ‘Leave this place and go somewhere else. 하나님의 말씀에 순종하는 삶을 살고 싶습니다.
하나님께서는 사무엘에게
"너는 사울을 위해서 언제까지 슬퍼하겠느냐?
... 이제 너는
... 베들레헴으로 가서 이새라는 사람을 찾아라.
내가 그의 아들 중에서 이스라엘의 새 왕이 될 사람을 벌써 정해 놓았다"고 말씀하셨습니다.
그러나 사무엘은
"내가 어떻게 그렇게 할 수 있겠습니까?"라고 대답을 했습니다.
그 이유는 그 당시 왕이 사울인데 하나님께서는 하나님의 명령에 불순종한 사울을 이미 버리셨고 이새의 아들들 중 다윗을 새 왕으로 벌써 정해 놓으셨기 때문에 만일 사무엘이 하나님의 말씀대로 순종하여 베들레헴으로 간다는 것을 사울 왕이 알면 사무엘을 죽일 것이었기 때문입니다.
그럼에도 불구하고
"사무엘은 여호와께서 말씀하신 대로 했"습니다(사무엘상
16:1-4, 현대인의 성경).
하나님께 불순종한 사울에게
'순종이 제사보다 낫다'(15:22)고 말한 사무엘은 하나님의 말씀에 순종했습니다.
저도 사무엘처럼 하나님의 말씀을 선포한대로 제 자신이 하나님의 말씀에 순종하는 삶을 살고 싶습니다.
