목사님과 성도님에게 주시는 교훈
엘리 제사장은 사무엘에게 하나님께서 사무엘에게 하신 모든 말씀을 하나도
숨김 없이 모든 것을 다 말하라고 말했습니다. 비록 사무엘은 자기가 들은 하나님의 말씀을 엘리 제사장에게 알리기를 두려워했었지만 하나도 숨기지 않고 엘리 제사장에게 모든 것을
그대로 말했습니다. 그러자 엘리 제사장은
"그것은 여호와의 뜻이므로 그분이 좋은 대로 하실 것이다"라고
말했습니다(사무엘상 3:15-18, 현대인의 성경). 이 말씀을 묵상할 때 (1) 우리 목사님들은 하나님께 받은 말씀을 하나도 숨기지 않고 모든 것을 그대로 성도님들에게 전해야 한다는 교훈과 (2)
그 말씀을 듣는 성도님들은 '그 말씀은 하나님의 뜻이므로 하나님께서 좋으실 대로
하실 것입니다'라는 것(18절, 현대인의 성경)과 "여호와의 말씀이 좋은 것이든
아니든 우리는 그 말씀에 순종하겠습니다"(예레미야 42:6, 현대인의 성경)라는 마음 자세로 하나님의 종을 통하여 들려주시는 하나님의 말씀을 겸손히 받아야
한다는 교훈을 받습니다.
