Mission is not a program that begins with human enthusiasm; rather, it is the heart of God that runs throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, and is a fundamental reason for the church’s existence. 예수님과 복음을 위해 버릴 사람과
버릴 것을 버린 예수님의 제자들은 이 세상에서(This
age) 그 모든 것을 백 배나 받되 핍박도 겸하여 받고 오는 세상(Coming age)에서는 영원한 생명을 얻을 것입니다(마가복음 10:29-30, 현대인의 성경).
예수님과 복음을 위해 버린 사람은 나중된 자로서 먼저 될 자가 많을 것입니다(마가복음 10:29-31).
예수님은 이 세상에 섬기려 오셨고
죽으시기까지 섬기시려고 하셨을 때 예수님의 제자들은 크게 되며 으뜸이 되어서 섬김을 받고 싶어했습니다(마가복음 10:33-45, 현대인의 성경).
섬기시는 예수님은 사람의 죄값을 치르기 위해 생명마저 주려고 이 세상에 오셨는데 예수님의 제자들은 계속해서 섬김을 받고 싶어하는 죄를 짓고 있었습니다(마가복음 10:43-45, 현대인의 성경).
