외할머니 로이스와 어머니 유니게에게 있던 거짓이 없는 진실한 믿음이 디모데에게도 있었던 것처럼, 나의 외증조할머니와 할머니와 아버님에게 있는 거짓이 없는 진실한 믿음이 저에게 뿐만 아니라 제 자녀들에게도 있길 기원합니다(디모데후서 1:5, 현대인의 성경).
