Devotional Reflection Based on the Incident of Peter Cutting Off Malchus's Ear: “Then one of those standing near drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear.” ( Mark 14:47, Today's Korean Version ) 1. Identifying the People Involved: The person who stood beside Jesus and drew the sword was Simon Peter . The servant of the high priest was named Malchus . “Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his right ear. 그 때 우리가 잊지말아야 할 진리!





재앙이 탄식보다 무거울 때 우리는 하나님을 간절히 찾지만(갈망하지만) 하나님을 만날 수 없음으로 인하여 충분히 낙망할 수 있습니다(욥기 23:2-3, 8-9).  그 때 우리가 잊지말아야 할 것은 우리가 왜 이러한 재앙을 혹독하게 겪고 있는지는 모르겠지만 그러나 하나님은 내가 가는 길을 다 알고 계신다라는 진리입니다(10절 상반절).
