Devotional Reflection Based on the Incident of Peter Cutting Off Malchus's Ear: “Then one of those standing near drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear.” ( Mark 14:47, Today's Korean Version ) 1. Identifying the People Involved: The person who stood beside Jesus and drew the sword was Simon Peter . The servant of the high priest was named Malchus . “Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus.” ( John 18:10 ) 2. 어쩌면 지금 돈이 하나님의 자녀들인 우리의 마음을 빼앗아 가고 있는지도 모릅니다.  그래서 만일 신부된 우리 교회가 영적으로 음란한 정신에 미혹되어 신랑되신 예수님을 떠나 다른 (?) 쫓는 영적 창녀짓을 하고 있으면 우리는 먹어도 배부르지 않을 것이며 수가 늘지 않을 것입니다(참고: 호세아 4:10-12, 현대인의 성경).
