저는 골로새서
1장 2절 말씀을 묵상했을 때 사도행전
9장에 나오는 주님께서는 사울(바울)을 “회심”(conversion)시키시고 이방인의 사도로서 “사명”(commission)을 주셨다는 말씀을 묵상하게 되었습니다:
“주께서 이르시되 가라 이 사람은 내 이름을 이방인과 임금들과 이스라엘 자손들에게 전하기 위하여 택한 나의 그릇이라”[(현대인의 성경)
“그러나 주님은 아나니아에게 이렇게 말씀하셨다.
'가거라. 그는 내 이름을 이방인들과 왕들과 이스라엘 사람들에게 널리 전하도록 내가 선택한 사람이다”](행9:15). 주님께서는 바울을 선택하시사 예수님의 이름(예수 그리스도의 복음)을 이방인들과 왕들과 이스라엘 사람들에게 널리 전하도록 하셨기에 바울은 갈라디아서
2장 8절에서 이렇게 말씀했습니다:
“베드로에게 역사하사 그를 할례자의 사도로 삼으신 이가 또한 내게 역사하사 나를 이방인의 사도로 삼으셨느니라.” 바울이 골로새에 있는 신실한 성도들에게 편지를 쓰기 시작하면서 자기 자신을 “하나님의 뜻으로 말미암아 그리스도 예수의 사도 된 바울”(골1:1)이라고 소개한 이유는 골로새 교회는 사도 바울이 개척한 교회도 아니었기에 그 교회 성도들에게는 바울이 알려져 있지 않았기 때문입니다(KJV
성경주석). 그래서 바울은 그들에게 자신이 부활하신 그리스도를 만나 주님께서 자기를 이방인의 사도로 삼으셨으므로 다른
12 사도들과 동등함을 알리기 위해 골로새서 편지를 쓰기 시작하면서 “하나님의 뜻으로 말미암아 그리스도 예수의 사도 된 바울”이라고 자신을 소개한 것입니다(KJV성경주석).
