도저히 상상도 할 수 없는 하나님의 놀라운 평안으로 하여금 그리스도 예수님 안에서 우리의 마음과 생각을 지켜주시게 하기
위해서 우리는 아무것도 염려하지 말고 모든 일에 기도와 간구로 우리가 필요로 하는 것을 감사하는 마음으로 하나님께 아뢰야 합니다(빌립보서 4:6-7, 현대인의 성경).
평강의 하나님이 우리와 함께 하시기 위해서 우리는 성경에서 배우고 받고 듣고 본 것을 실천해야 합니다(빌립보서 4:9, 현대인의 성경).
우리에게 능력을 주시는 주님 안에서 우리는 어떤 형편에서도 스스로 만족하게 생각하는 비결을 배워야 합니다(빌립보서 4:11-13, 현대인의 성경).
우리에게 능력 주시는 주님 안에서 스스로 만족하는 법을 배운 성도는 어려움을 당하고 있는 주님의 종을 물질로 돕겠다는

성도들의 도움을 받는 예수 그리스도의 복음을 전하는 주님의 종의 마음은 성도에게 유익이 돌아가기를 바라는 것입니다(빌립보서 4:14-17, 현대인의 성경).
주님의 종에게 필요한 것을 보내는 선물은 하나님께서 기쁘시게 받으실 향기로운 제물입니다(빌립보서 4:16-18, 현대인의 성경).
