Identifying the People Involved: The person who stood beside Jesus and drew the sword was Simon Peter . The servant of the high priest was named Malchus . “Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his right ear. 하나님께서 오직 하나님의 영광을 위해서 쓰라고 우리에게 주신 물질의 축복인데 도리어 우리가 욕심을 내어 돈을 우상화하여 돈을 섬기고 또한 돈을 더 모으는데 혈안이 되어 있지 않나 생각합니다.  그런데 우리는 이것을 알지 못하고 있는 것 같습니다(참고: 호세아 2:8, 현대인의 성경).
