Devotional Reflection Based on the Incident of Peter Cutting Off Malchus's Ear: “Then one of those standing near drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear.” ( Mark 14:47, Today's Korean Version ) 1. Identifying the People Involved: The person who stood beside Jesus and drew the sword was Simon Peter . The servant of the high priest was named Malchus . “Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus.” ( John 18:10 ) 2. 아주 깊은 구덩이에 빠졌을 때  아주 깊은 구덩이에 빠졌을 때  나의 부르짖음과 호소에 귀를 기울여 주시길  주님께 기도해야 합니다 .   분명히 주님은 우리의 기도를 들으시고 우리에게 가까이 오시사  우리에게 " 두려워하지 말라 " 고 말씀해 주실 것입니다 .   그리고 주님은 우리 마음의 원통함을 풀어주시고  우리의 생명을 구해 주실 것입니다 ( 예레미야 애가 3:55-58, 현대인의 성경 ).
