The Inseparable Love of God (1) [ Romans 8:38-39 ] Why can nothing separate us from the love of God? 1. Because God’s love is eternal. Romans 8:29a says: “For those whom He foreknew…” The word “foreknew” refers to before eternity began —before the creation of heaven and earth . The phrase “those whom He foreknew” does not simply mean knowing about someone intellectually, but rather loving them. In other words, it refers to “those whom God loved from eternity past.” Amos 3:2a says: “You only have I known of all the families of the earth.” If “known” merely meant intellectual knowledge, that would imply that God only knew Israel and did not know the other nations—which cannot be true, because the all-knowing God lacks knowledge of nothing. Therefore, “I have known you only” means “I have loved you only.” God loved Israel among all the nations of the earth. How can we rely on the Word of God when we are in such an uneasy situation?
When we do not know what to do
When He was oppressed and afflicted
The Lord who gives peace to the afflicted heart
When I want to die because of my burden
When all the hope of the world is cut off
Prophet Elijah with bipolar disorder?
When you think that you have been abandoned by God
‘Why then has all this happened to us?’
"They have no comforter"
“When will You comfort me?”
A mourner who refuses to be comforted
God who cannot bear our misery any longer
God who listens even to our grumbling prayers in tears
God who knows my fear and gives me courage
“Cast your burden upon the Lord”
Do not grow weary
Do not be afraid but remember well
Do not worry about tomorrow
God will surely help us
The Comforter who can sympathizes with our weaknesses
Encourage them with these words
Crisis is an opportunity!
Wisdom that shines in crisis
Persecution is an opportunity!
‘The testing of your faith’
Grace after disaster
God who helps me
God who strengthens me
"I love You, O LORD, my strength"
‘My circumstances have turned out …’
Those who suffer according to the will of God
"Put my tears in Your bottle"
“I will always have hope”
