A. What Is Biblical Mission? “Biblical mission means more than simply going overseas to plant churches or spread civilization. It means the church participating in the ‘mission of God (Missio Dei)’ and seeking the restoration of God’s rule and glory throughout the whole earth. Mission is not a program that begins with human enthusiasm; rather, it is the heart of God that runs throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, and is a fundamental reason for the church’s existence. 우리가 마음을 다하고 뜻을 다하여 하나님을 찾으면 하나님께서 우리를 만나주시고 우리에게 평안을 주실 것입니다(역대하 15:15).
하나님의 능력을 경험하지 못하는 이유는 우리가 전심으로 하나님께 향하지 않고 또한 하나님을 의지하지 않고 하나님 외에 사람이나 물질 등을 의지하고 있기 때문입니다(역대하 16:7-9).
우리가 전심으로 하나님의 길을 걸으면서 하나님께 구하고 하나님의 계명을 행할 때에 하나님께서는 우리와 함께 하시고 우리를 통하여 우리 가정과 교회를 견고케 하실 것입니다(역대하 17:1-6).
"하나님께서 말씀하시는 것 곧 그것을" 말하는 목사님은 참 목사이지만(역대하 18:18) "바른 교훈을 듣지 않고 오히려 자기 욕심을 따"르는 교회 다니는 사람들의 "귀를 즐겁게"하고자(디모데후서4:3, 현대인의 성경) 다른 가짜 목사들처럼 "좋게 말하"는 목사는 가짜 목사입니다(역대하 18:12).
"바른 교훈을 듣지 않고 오히려 자기 욕심을 따"르는 교회 다니는 사람들은 자기의 "귀를 즐겁게"하고자(디모데후서4:3, 현대인의 성경) 자기에게 좋게 말하는(역대하18:12) '목사'를 '참 목사'라고 믿고 그 가짜 목사를 추종하고 그 거짓 목사에게 맹종할 것입니다. 이러한 사람들을 매우 경계해야 합니다.
