교회 안에 있는 부요하고 힘있는 죄인들은(prosperous and powerful sinners) 하나님을 섬기는 목적이 하나님을 예배하는 것이 아니라 하나님을 마치 성경에 나오는 "바알"처럼 여겨 "하나님"께로 부터 많은 경제적인 복과 개인적인 형통을 위해서입니다(참고: 스바냐 1:4-6).
