"지금이 돈이나 의복이나 감람원이나 포도원이나 양이나 소나 종을 받을 때냐?"(왕하 5:26, 현대인의 성경) 엘리사 선지자가 그의 사환에게 한 말입니다.
지금 우리 목사님들이 욕심(탐욕) 속에서 교회 새신자 분들에게 돈을 받을 때인가요?
엘리사 선지자가 전에 아들을 살려 준 그 수넴 여자가 "하나님의 사람의 말대로 행하여" 7년의 기간 동안 그녀의 가족과 함께 가서 블레셋 사람들의 땅에 있다가 돌아와 자기 집과 땅을 되찾기 위해 이스라엘 왕에게 호소하러 갔을 "바로 그때" 왕은 엘리사 선지자의 사환 게하시에게서 엘리사가 행한 기적에 대해 알고 싶어했습니다. 그래서 게하시가 엘리사가 죽은 아이를 살렸던 일을 왕에게 "이야기할 때에" 그 다시 살린 아이의 어머니가 자기 집과 땅을 되찾게 해 달라고 왕에게 호소했습니다(8:1-5).
