A. What Is Biblical Mission? “Biblical mission means more than simply going overseas to plant churches or spread civilization. It means the church participating in the ‘mission of God (Missio Dei)’ and seeking the restoration of God’s rule and glory throughout the whole earth. Mission is not a program that begins with human enthusiasm; rather, it is the heart of God that runs throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, and is a fundamental reason for the church’s existence. 불평의 원인은 탐욕입니다. 우리 가운데 섞여 있는 세상 사람들이 탐욕을 품으므로 우리도 탐욕 속에 불평을 하고 있습니다(참고: 민수기 11:4). 이희대라는 암전문의 의사는 '암세포의 본질은 탐욕이라'고 말했습니다. 그 이유는 '암 세포란 성장과 죽음을 반복해야 하는 세포의 유전자에 변이가 생겨 결코 죽지 않고 끊임없이 자라나는 세포이기 때문이요 그리고 암 세포가 무서운 것은 끊임없이 자라나기 위해서 다른 세포들의 영양분을 혼자서 차지한다는 사실 때문이기 때문입니다. 즉, 암 세포란 끊임없이 여기 저기 옮겨 다니면서 고칼로리 영양분을 낚아채서 독식하며 성장하기에 암 세포의 본질은 탐욕이라는 것'입니다[이희대, "희대의 소망"]. 이 탐욕이 있으면 우리는 결코 만족할 수가 없습니다. 그러므로 우리는 불만족에서 불평합니다. 우리는 우리가 접한 상황 때문에도 불평하지만 특히 사람 때문에 불평합니다. 그러므로 우리는 심지어 하나님에게도 불만족 속에서 불평을 합니다. 이러한 불평이 어떻게 하나님께서 주시는 기회일 수 있을까요?
