Herod wants to kill You.’   He replied, ‘Go tell that fox, “I will keep driving out demons and healing people today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will reach My goal.”   In any case, I must press on today and tomorrow and the next day—for surely no prophet can die outside Jerusalem!   Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing.   Look, your house is left to you desolate.   I tell you, you will not see Me again until you say, “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord” (Luke 13:31–35).     ...

마치 어미 독수리가 자기의 보금자리를 흔들어 새끼 독수리를 떨어트리듯이 주님께서는 우리의 안주하는 편안함을 흔들어 우리로 하여금 절벽 같은 곳에서 추락하게 하십니다.  그러신 후 마치 어미 독수리가 새끼 독수리 위에서 너풀 거리다가 그 새끼 독수리가 땅바닥에 떨어져 부딪히기 전에 자기 날개를 펴서 그 새끼 독수리를 받아 그 날개 위에 업듯이 주님께서는 우리가 우리의 날개를 펴서 최선을 다하여 추락하는 중력과 싸워 날아보려고 함에도 불구하고 추락하여 땅바닥에 부딪하기 직전에 우리를 건져내 주시고 우리를 업으십니다.  그리고 주님께서는 우리가 제일 힘들 때에 우리를 업으사 우리와 함께 걸으십니다(신명기 32 11).
