God’s love, which is stronger than death, is causing me to continue walking the path of the mission the Lord has given me (John 6:1–15). “At that very time some Pharisees came and said to Him, ‘Leave this place and go somewhere else. Herod wants to kill You.’ He replied, ‘Go tell that fox, “I will keep driving out demons and healing people today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will reach My goal.” In any case, I must press on today and tomorrow and the next day—for surely no prophet can die outside Jerusalem! Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing. 살 소망이 끊어졌을 때
"힘에 겹도록 심한 고난을 당하여 살 소망까지 끊어지고" "우리는 우리 자신이 사형 선고를 받은 줄 알았"을 때 이것은 우리로 우리 자신을 "의지하지 말고 오직 죽은 자를 다시 살리시는 하나님만 의지하게 하"시는 것임을 알아야 합니다(고후 1:8-9). 우리는 하나님을 의지하되 과거에도 우리를 건지신 하나님께서 지금도 건지실 것이고 앞으로도 건지시기를 믿음으로 바라고 소망해야 합니다(10절). 그리고 우리는 우리를 위해 기도해 줄만한 형제, 자매들에게 "우리를 위하여 간구함으로 도"와 달라고 기도 요청을 해야 합니다(11절).
