살 소망이 끊어졌을 때 



"힘에 겹도록 심한 고난을 당하여  소망까지 끊어지고"우리는 우리 자신이 사형 선고를 받은 알았" 때 이것은 우리로 우리 자신을 "의지하지 말고 오직 죽은 자를 다시 살리시는 하나님만 의지하게 "시는 것임을 알아야 합니다(고후 1:8-9).  우리는 하나님을 의지하되 과거에도 우리를 건지신 하나님께서 지금도 건지실 것이고 앞으로도 건지시기를 믿음으로 바라고 소망해야 합니다(10).  그리고 우리는 우리를 위해 기도해 줄만한 형제, 자매들에게 "우리를 위하여 간구함으로 " 달라고 기도 요청을 해야 합니다(11).
