그리스도께서 우리를 보내심은 오직 복음을 전하게 하려 하심이니 우리가 인간의 지혜로운 말로 하지 않는 것은 그리스도의 십자가가 헛되지 않도록 하기 위한 것입니다.  십자가의 진리는 구원받은 우리에게는 하나님의 능력이 됩니다(고린도전서 1:17-18, 현대인의 성경).
