Gershom and Eliezer

Gershom and Eliezer

 

 

The world we live in is a foreign land to us,

and we are strangers here (the meaning of "Gershom,"

the firstborn son of Moses and his wife Zipporah).

While we live as strangers here,

God helps us ("Eliezer," the name of their second son, means "God is my help")

 and saves us from Satan and his forces

(Exodus 18:2-4).
