죽어야 사람은 바로 범죄하는 사람입니다.  아들이 아버지의 때문에 형벌을 받지 않을 것이며 아버지가 아들의 때문에 형벌을 받지도 않을 것입니다.  이와 같이 의로운 사람의 의에 대한 보상도 자기에게 돌아가고 악인의 악에 대한 형벌도 자기에게 돌아갈 것입니다(에스겔 18:20, 현대인의 성경).
