A person who humbles himself and serves the church and his neighbors, like Jesus, is great in the kingdom of God. “A dispute also arose among them as to which of them was considered to be greatest. Jesus said to them, ‘The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those who exercise authority over them call themselves Benefactors. But you are not to be like that. Instead, the greatest among you should be like the youngest, and the one who rules like the one who serves. For who is greater, the one who reclines at the table or the one who serves? Si alguna vez llega el momento en que deba depender únicamente de un respirador... Un día, mientras llevaba a mi esposa al aeropuerto, le dije: "Si alguna vez llego a depender de un respirador, quisiera que pidieras que me lo retiren". Sin dudarlo ni un instante, ella respondió de inmediato: "Yo también". Al oír esto, sonreí y le dije que, puesto que poseemos la vida eterna, no hay razón para temer a la muerte. Mi amada esposa estuvo de acuerdo conmigo. Entonces la animé diciéndole que, gracias a la promesa de la vida eterna, no debemos aferrarnos a este mundo al enfrentarnos a la muerte, sino más bien anhelar con ilusión el mundo venidero: el cielo.
