환난을 당할 때 우리는 과거에 주님께서 우리에게 행하신 일들을 기억하며 되새겨 보아야 합니다.  우리는 주님의 모든 일을 묵상하며 주님께서 행하신 놀라운 일을 생각해야 합니다.  그리할 때 우리는 기적의 하나님께서 우리에게 보이신 주님의 능력과 우리를 구원하시고 인도하신 일들로 말미암아 하나님이시여, 주님께서 행하시는 일은 다 거룩합니다.  주님과 같은 위대한 신이 어디 있습니까?’라고 고백할 수밖에 없을 것입니다(참고: 시편 77:11-14, 20, 현대인의 성경).
