Devotional Reflection Based on the Incident of Peter Cutting Off Malchus's Ear: “Then one of those standing near drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear.” ( Mark 14:47, Today's Korean Version ) 1. Identifying the People Involved: The person who stood beside Jesus and drew the sword was Simon Peter . The servant of the high priest was named Malchus . “Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus.” ( John 18:10 ) 2. 큰 어려움 가운데서 주님의 진리의 길을 배워야 합니다.





우리가 큰 어려움과 환난을 당할 때에 주님께 부르짖을 뿐만 아니라 하나님이 누구이신 가를 알아가야 합니다.  그리고 우리는 그러한 때에 주님께서 우리에게 가르쳐 주시는 주님의 진리와 주님의 길을 배워서 한결 같은 마음으로 그 진리를 행하며 그 길을 묵묵히 신실하게 걸어가야 합니다(참고: 시편 86:1-11, 현대인의 성경).
