악인들의 형통과 의인의 고통을 생각할 때
악인들은 일평생 아무런 고통도 없이 건강하게 지내며 다른 사람들과
같이 어려움을 당하거나 병으로 고생하는 일도 없으면서 언제나 편안한 생활을 하고 그들의 재산은 날로 늘어만 가는데 왜 의인은 깨끗하고 정결한 마음으로
살면서 죄를 짓지도 않는데 종일 괴로움을 당하며 아침마다 벌을 받는 것일까요?
이러한 악인들의 형통과 의인의 고통을 생각할 때 의인은 악인의 형통함을 보고 교만한 자들을 질투하여 ‘내가 깨끗한 마음으로 살고 죄를 짓지 않는 것이 허사구나’라는 생각 속에서 그의 발걸음이 거의
미끄러질 뻔할 수 있습니다(참고: 시편 73:1-5,
