우리가 환난을 당할 때 밤새도록 주님을 찾고 기도하면서 우리의 영혼이
어느 누구의 위로도 받기를 거절할 정도로 괴로워할 수 있습니다.
그 때 우리는 불안하여 근심하며 우리 마음이 약해질 수밖에 없습니다. 그래서 우리는 이러한 질문들을 생각하게 됩니다:
주님이 나를 이 환난 가운데서 건져 주실까?
주님이 다시는 내게 은혜를 베풀지 않으실까? 나에 대한 주님의 사랑이
영원히 사라진 것일까? 주님의 약속은
영원히 무산된 것일까? 주님이 나에게
은혜를 베푸시는 것을 잊으신 것일까? 등등 (참고: 시편 77:2-4, 7-9, 현대인의 성경).
