우리가 매우 힘들고 어려울 우리가 생각하기에 우리에게 도움이 만한 이웃에게 도움을 청한다 할지라도 어쩌면 이웃은 우리를 도와주지 않는 것이 아니라 도와주지 못할 수도 있습니다.  이유는 하나님께서 이웃으로 하여금 우리를 돕지 못하도록 막으실 것이기 때문입니다.  하나님께서 그리하시는 이유는 우리가 하나님께 맹세나 언약이나 약속을 깨뜨렸기(배반했기) 때문입니다(참고: 에스겔 17:17-18, 현대인의 성경).
