Mission is not a program that begins with human enthusiasm; rather, it is the heart of God that runs throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, and is a fundamental reason for the church’s existence. Let me clearly summarize five essential principles of true mission as presented in Scripture. 🌍 1. The Mission of God (Missio Dei) The subject and initiator of mission is not human beings but God. 우리 그리스도인들은 하나님의 관점으로 주님의 교회를 섬겨야 합니다. 하나님의 나라는 “오직 성령 안에서 의와 평강과 희락”[“성령님 안에서 누리는 의와 평화와 기쁨”(현대인의 성경)]입니다(롬14:17). 여기서 “의”(righteousness)란 하나님의 은혜로 예수 그리스도를 믿어 의롭다하심[칭의(justification)]을 받은 우리 그리스도인들이 영원한 생명을 소유한(요일3:14, 현대인의 성경) 하나님의 나라(천국) 시민권자들로서(빌3:20) 예수님께서 행하신 것처럼 의를 행해야 합니다(요일2:6, 29). 그 말은 우리는 예수님의 이중계명인 “네 마음을 다하고 목숨을 다하고 뜻을 다하여 주 너의 하나님을 사랑하라”와 “네 이웃을 네 자신 같이 사랑하라”(마22:37, 39)는 말씀에 순종해야 합니다. 그리할 때 그 하나님의 나라에는 하나님의 평강과 하나님의 기쁨이 있습니다(롬14:17).
