우리는 지난 날에 하나님께서 우리에게 베풀어 주신 구원의 은총을 기억하지 않고 영적으로 더러운 일과 음란한 짓을 하였습니다. 이렇게 우리는 이 모든 악을 행하고서도 우리 자신을 위해 돈이라는 “우상의 신전”을 짓고 “높은 사당”을 세워 하나님께서 우리에게 주신 아름다움을 헌신짝처럼 내동댕이치고 지나가는 세상 사람들과 어울리면서 아주 난잡하게 영적 음행을 하였습니다. 우리는 하나님보다 더 의지하는 모든 사람들과 영적으로 음행하여 하나님의 분노를 일으켰습니다(참고: 에스겔 16:22-26,
