What Is Biblical Mission?

A. What Is Biblical Mission? “Biblical mission means more than simply going overseas to plant churches or spread civilization. It means the church participating in the ‘mission of God (Missio Dei)’ and seeking the restoration of God’s rule and glory throughout the whole earth. Mission is not a program that begins with human enthusiasm; rather, it is the heart of God that runs throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, and is a fundamental reason for the church’s existence. Let me clearly summarize five essential principles of true mission as presented in Scripture. 🌍 1. The Mission of God (Missio Dei) The subject and initiator of mission is not human beings but God. In order to save fallen humanity, God first comes to us, sends His Son, and sends the Holy Spirit. He is the “missionary God” who sends. The Gospel of Jesus Christ (The Four Gospels) (Introduction)

Introduction

I hope and pray for the gospel of Jesus Christ to be preached.  All of us, Christians, must preach the gospel of Jesus Christ.  We must voluntarily preach the good news of Jesus Christ.  Even if not voluntarily, we are commissioned to preach the gospel.  Therefore, according to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we must immediately obey in faith and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ.  If we do not preach the gospel, woe is us (1 Corinthians 9:16).

I thank God for being able to publish a senior pastor Missionary Chang Seh Kim’s first book “The Gospel of God (Romans 5~8)” last year in commemoration of the 42nd anniversary of the establishment of Victory Presbyterian Church, that he proclaimed during the weekly Wednesday service during the pandemic period.  I am grateful and happy to have his second book, “The Gospel of Jesus Christ (The Four Gospels)” in this new year.  In this book, I took notes of Missionary Kim’s sermons that he preached about Jesus centered on the Gospels of Matthew, of Mark, of Luke, and of John every Wednesday worship and organized the notes and the meditations in this way to make this book.  What I hope is that the Lord will use this book according to the Lord's will so that the gospel of Jesus Christ may be spread more widely.

Praying that the gospel of Jesus Christ be spread more widely,
