A. What Is Biblical Mission? “Biblical mission means more than simply going overseas to plant churches or spread civilization. It means the church participating in the ‘mission of God (Missio Dei)’ and seeking the restoration of God’s rule and glory throughout the whole earth. Mission is not a program that begins with human enthusiasm; rather, it is the heart of God that runs throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, and is a fundamental reason for the church’s existence. 고용인은 애매히 까다로운 고용주에게 고난을 받아서 슬픔을 당해도 참고 순종해야 합니다. 그 첫 번째 이유는 오직 선을 행함으로 고난을 받고 참는 것이 하나님 앞에서 아름답기 때문입니다. (벧전2:19-20) “애매히 고난을 받아도 하나님을 생각함으로 슬픔을 참으면 이는 아름다우나 죄가 있어 매를 맞고 참으면 무슨 칭찬이 있으리요 오직 선을 행함으로 고난을 받고 참으면 이는 하나님 앞에 아름다우니라.” 또 한가지 이유는 고용인은 선을 행함으로 고난을 받고 참음을 위하여 부르심을 받았기 때문입니다. 이 말은 우리가 직장에서 신적 소명 의식을 갖아야 할 것을 도전하고 있습니다. (벧전2:21) “이를 위하여 너희가 부르심을 입었으니 그리스도도 너희를 위하여 고난을 받으사 너희에게 본을 끼쳐 그 자취를 따라 오게 하려 하셨느니라.“ 예수님을 믿는 고용인은 예수님의 발자취를 따르기 위하여 부르심을 입었습니다. 그 발자취는 결코 편안하고 고난이 없는 발자취가 아닙니다. 그러므로 그는 예수님의 본을 본받아서 까다로운 고용주에게 괴롭힘을 당하고 애매히 고난을 받을지라도 “하나님의 생각하므로” 슬픔을 참고 이겨 나아가므로 하나님께 영광을 돌려야 합니다.
