A. What Is Biblical Mission? “Biblical mission means more than simply going overseas to plant churches or spread civilization. It means the church participating in the ‘mission of God (Missio Dei)’ and seeking the restoration of God’s rule and glory throughout the whole earth. Mission is not a program that begins with human enthusiasm; rather, it is the heart of God that runs throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, and is a fundamental reason for the church’s existence. 하나님의 영이신 성령님께서 우리를 일으켜 세우시사 하나님께서 우리에게 하시는 말씀을 듣게 하여 주시길 기원합니다(참고: 에스겔 2:2, 현대인의 성경).
우리에게 하시는 하나님의 말씀은 “내가 너를 … 나를 배반하는 자에게 보내노라”입니다. 하나님께서는 우리를 하나님의 말씀을 잘 듣고 순종하는 하나님의 자녀들에게 보내시는 것이 아니라 하나님을 거역하고 하나님께 불순종하며 범죄하는 하나님의 자녀들에게 보내십니다(참고: 에스겔 2:3, 현대인의 성경).
하나님은 우리를 뻔뻔스럽고 고집스런 하나님의 자녀들에게 보내시사 “주 여호와가 하는 말”씀을 전하라고 말씀하고 계십니다(참고: 에스겔 2:4, 현대인의 성경).
하나님은 우리를 하나님을 “배신한 자들”에게 보내시되 그들이 하나님의 말씀을 듣든지 안 듣든지 우리가 그들에게 하나님의 말씀을 전하고 또한 적어도 그들 가운데 참된 하나님의 종이 있다는 것을 알게 하시길 원하고 계십니다(참고: 에스겔 2:5, 7,

하나님은 참된 하나님의 종에게 하나님을 배반하고 뻔뻔스럽고 고집스런 사람들을 무서워하지 말고 그들이 하는 말을 두려워하지 말라고 말씀하십니다(참고: 에스겔 2:6, 현대인의 성경).
참된 하나님의 종은 하나님의 말씀을 명심하고,
그들처럼 반역하지 않으며,
