Identifying the People Involved: The person who stood beside Jesus and drew the sword was Simon Peter . The servant of the high priest was named Malchus . “Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his right ear. 하나님께서는 자기에게 희망을 걸고 자기를 찾는 사람에게 은혜를 베푸십니다.  그러므로 우리는 하나님께 소망을 두고 하나님을 찾는 가운데 하나님의 구원을 잠잠히 기다려야 합니다(참고: 예레미야 애가 3:25-26, 현대인의 성경).
