A. What Is Biblical Mission? “Biblical mission means more than simply going overseas to plant churches or spread civilization. It means the church participating in the ‘mission of God (Missio Dei)’ and seeking the restoration of God’s rule and glory throughout the whole earth. Mission is not a program that begins with human enthusiasm; rather, it is the heart of God that runs throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, and is a fundamental reason for the church’s existence. Let me clearly summarize five essential principles of true mission as presented in Scripture. 🌍 1. The Mission of God (Missio Dei) The subject and initiator of mission is not human beings but God. In order to save fallen humanity, God first comes to us, sends His Son, and sends the Holy Spirit. He is the “missionary God” who sends. 말하자면 그들에게 절박함이 있는가 하면 또한 엄숙함이 있습니다. 그들에게 일종의 숭고함이 있는가 하면 거만함이 없고 괴팍함도 없습니다. 우월감도 없고 자만심도 없습니다. 그들에겐 편안함이 있습니다. 이것은 복음으로 새로워진 사람의 다양한 모습으로 사람들은 그 모습을 보고 깜짝 놀라며 ‘나는 어떻지’라고 돌아보게 됩니다."
