왜 예수님은 그들에게도 자신의 마음이 너무나 괴로와 죽을 지경임을 말씀하지 않으셨을까요?
제자들과 함께 겟세마네라 하는 곳에 가신 예수님께서는 8명의 제자들에겐 “내가 저기 가서 기도하는 동안 너희는 여기 앉아 있거라”하고 말씀하신 후 3명의 제자인 베드로와 세베대의 두 아들인 요한과 야고보만 데리고 가셔서 “지금 내 마음이 너무나 괴로와 죽을 지경이다.
너희는 여기 머물러 나와 함께 깨어 있으라”하고 말씀하셨습니다(마태복음 26:36-38, 현대인의 성경).
왜 예수님은 8명의 제자들에겐 “… 너희는 여기 앉아 있거라”하고만 말씀하셨을까요?
