주인은 각 사람의 능력에 따라 자기 재산을 맡겼습니다.
예수님의 달란트 비유를 보면 주인은 “각 사람의 능력에 따라” “자기 재산”(다섯 달란트,
두 달란트,
한 달란트)을 맡겼다고 말씀하고 있습니다(마태복음
25:14-15, 현대인의 성경). 저는 이 말씀을 묵상할 때 우리 각자에게 주어진 “달란트”는 우리 것이 아니라 주님 것이라는 사실과 전지하신 주님께서 알아서 우리 각자에게 각 사람의 능력에 따라 “달란트”를 주셨다고 생각이 되었습니다. 그러므로 우리는 우리 각자의 “능력”과 우리 각자에게 주어진 “달란트”가 무엇인지 알고 감사히 받아들여야 한다는 교훈을 받습니다.
