Love is not arrogant (1 Corinthians 13:4).

Only by pride comes contention (Proverbs 13:10).

When pride comes, then comes disgrace (11:2).

God hates pride (8:13; Romans 1:30)

and does not tolerate the proud (Psalms 101:5)

but repays those who act in pride severely (31:23).

God humbles those who act in pride (Daniel 4:37).

Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall (Proverbs 18:12).

Therefore, let us not have a proud heart (1 Corinthians 4:6).
