우리가 하나님께서 계속 보내신 하나님의 종들을 통해 우리 죄를 깨닫게 되었다면 우리는 하나님께 회개의 은총을 사모하여 회개해야 합니다. 만일
우리가 회개하기를 거부하고 하나님의 종들이 하나님의 이름으로 우리게 하는 말을 듣지 않고 우리가 하고 싶은 대로 계속해서 행하므로 우리가 먹을 것이 많아 풍족하게 살며 재앙 같은 것도 당하지 않을 것이라고 믿고 있다면 우리는 우리의 회개하지 않은 죄로 말미암아 그 쓴 결과를 맛볼 수밖에 없을 것입니다(참고: 예레미야 44:12-19, 현대인의 성경).
