A. What Is Biblical Mission? “Biblical mission means more than simply going overseas to plant churches or spread civilization. It means the church participating in the ‘mission of God (Missio Dei)’ and seeking the restoration of God’s rule and glory throughout the whole earth. Mission is not a program that begins with human enthusiasm; rather, it is the heart of God that runs throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, and is a fundamental reason for the church’s existence. Let me clearly summarize five essential principles of true mission as presented in Scripture. 🌍 1. The Mission of God (Missio Dei) The subject and initiator of mission is not human beings but God. 우리 날 계수함을 가르치소서(시 90; 전 12:13)
“우리에게 우리 날 계수함을 가르치사 지혜의 마음을 얻게 하소서” (시90:12).
우리 날 계수함을 가르쳐 달라는 이 기도에는 두 가지 내용이 내포되어 있습니다. 하나는 인생의 허무함을 가르쳐 달라는 내용이고,
다른 하나는 하나님 보시기에 가치 있는 인생을 살수 있도록 가르쳐 달라는
내용입니다.
인생이 허무한 이유는 흙으로 왔다가 흙으로 다시 돌아가기 때문이요(시90:3),
신속히 가기 때문이요(시90:4-6, 10 하반절), 또한 인생의 자랑이 수고와 슬픔뿐이기 때문입니다(시90:10 상반절).
이렇게 허무한 인생임을 철저히 깨달을 때 우리는 간절히 하나님 보시기에 값진 인생을 살기 원할 것입니다. 하나님 보시기에 값진 인생이란 어떠한 것입니까?
첫째로, 하나님을 경외하는 삶입니다(시90:7).
인간의 본분은 하나님을 경외하며 그의 계명을 지키는 것입니다(전12:13).
둘째로, 주님의 인자로 만족하는 삶입니다(시90:14).
하나님의 영원한 사랑이 우리의 7, 80 인생보다 나으므로 우리는 주님을 찬양할 수 밖에 없습니다(시63:3).
셋째로, 하나님의 영광을 위해서 살아가는 것입니다(16절).
마지막으로, 하나님의 은총 가운데 살아가는 것입니다(시90:17).
하나님께서 우리에게 지혜의 마음을 주사 우리 날 계수함을 가르쳐 주시길 기원합니다.
