오늘 아버지 주일을 맞이하여 역대상 28장 9-10절 중심으로 아버지 다윗이
아들 솔로몬에게 한 말씀을 묵상하면서 우리가 아버지로서 우리 자녀들에게 어떠한 삶의 본을 보여 줘야 하는지 3가지로 교훈을 받고자 합니다:
첫째로, 아버지 다윗은 아들 솔로몬에게 ‘너의 아버지의 하나님을 알라’고 말하였습니다(9절). 다윗이 이렇게 말한 이유는 하나님께 대한 올바른 지식을 아들 솔로몬에게 전승시키길 원했기 때문입니다. 그 지식 은 바로 ‘나의 하나님은 언약의 하나님이시다’라는 것입니다. 그러므로 솔로몬이 하나님께 형통의 복을 받길 원했습니다(왕상2:3).
둘째로, 아버지 다윗은 아들 솔로몬에게 ‘너의 아버지의 하나님을 온전한 마음과 기쁜 뜻으로 섬기라’고 말하였습니 다(상 28:9). 아버지 다윗은 아들 솔로몬이 하나님께 형통의 복을 받는데서 끝나는 것이 아니라 그 받은 형통의 복을 지키길 원했습니다. 그 비결이 바로 주님을 섬기는 것입니다.
셋째로, 아버지 다윗은
아들 솔로몬에게 ‘너를 택하여 거룩한 성전을 건축케 하신 하나님의 일을 담대하게 행하라’고 말하였습니다(10절). 다윗은 아들 솔로몬에게 담대하게 주 님의 성전을 건축하는 일을 행하라고
말씀한 이유는 아버지 다윗이 생각하기엔 하나님의 전을 건축하는 일은 큰 일인데 아들 솔로몬은 어리고 연약하였기 때문입니다(29:1).
