Devotional Reflection Based on the Incident of Peter Cutting Off Malchus's Ear: “Then one of those standing near drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear.” ( Mark 14:47, Today's Korean Version ) 1. Identifying the People Involved: The person who stood beside Jesus and drew the sword was Simon Peter . The servant of the high priest was named Malchus . “Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus.” ( John 18:10 ) 2. 예수님께서는 "너희 속에 소금을 두고 서로 화목하라"고 말씀하시고 계십니다( 9:50).  우리가 서로 화목하기 위해선 ... 있어야 합니다:

1. 자기 희생 ( 9:50)
    a. 마치 소금이 녹아야 하듯이

2. 자기 부인 (8:34)
    a. 사람의 일을 생각하지 말고 하나님의 일을 생각해야

3. 겸손 (9:34-37)
    a.  교만한 사람은 서로 화목할 수가 없음

4. 섬김 (9:41)
    a. 하나님께서 공급해 주시는 힘으로 이웃을 섬기되 작은 일에 충성
