A. What Is Biblical Mission? “Biblical mission means more than simply going overseas to plant churches or spread civilization. It means the church participating in the ‘mission of God (Missio Dei)’ and seeking the restoration of God’s rule and glory throughout the whole earth. Mission is not a program that begins with human enthusiasm; rather, it is the heart of God that runs throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, and is a fundamental reason for the church’s existence. 우리가 곤란(난관)한 상황에 처했을 때 ...
1. 우리의 눈(eye)은 오직 하나님께 향해야 합니다(시편 141:8). 우리는 눈은 우리가 접한 곤란한 상황을 향하기보다 그러한 상황조차도 사용하여 하나님의 뜻을 이루시는 하나님을 바라보아야 합니다.
2. 우리의 손(hands)는 하나님께 드려져야 합니다(2절). 우리는 긴급한 상황에 놓여 있을 때 하나님께 긴급한 요구를 하나님께
아뢰야 합니다.
3. 우리의 마음(heart)은 악한 일에 기울이지 말아야 합니다(4절). 우리가 곤란중에 있으면서도 우리의 눈을 주님꼐 향하지 않고 간구하지 않을 때 우리는 영적으로 취약해져서 우리의 마음이 사단의 유혹에 빠져 하나님께 범죄하기가 쉽습니다.
4. 우리의 입(mouth)에 파숫군을 세워야 합니다(3절). 우리가 고통과 역경 가운데 있을 때 말을 아끼지 않으면 입술로
하나님을 원망하며 범죄할 위험이 많습니다(참고: 욥2:9-10).
5. 우리의 머리(head)는 의인의 책망을 거절하지 말아야 합니다(5절). 겸손과 지혜가 없이는 우리가 곤란 중에 있을 때 의인의 책망을
듣기를 거부할 것입니다. 오히려 우리는 악인의 위로조차도 환영할 것입니다.
