Warranty and Guarantee
집에 있는 컴퓨터 hard drive가 망가졌다.
그런데 감사하게도 여동생이 그 컴퓨터를 살 때 warranty(품질 보증)를 들어 놓아
무료로 고치게 되었다. Warranty를 생각할 때 나는 Guarantee가 생각났다.
히브리서 7장 22절은 이렇게 말씀하고 있다:
"Because of this oath, Jesus has become
the guarantee of a better covenant"
(이와 같이 예수는 더 좋은 언약의 보증이 되셨느니라).
예수님께서 새 언약의 보증(the Guarantee)이 되신다는 사실이 새 언약 백성중 한 사람인 나에게 왜 이렇게 좋게 들리는지...
