만일 우리가 하나님을 경외하는 까닭이 하나님께서 우리가 하는 모든 일에 축복해 주셔서 우리와 우리 가정과 우리의 모든 소유물이 많아 부자가 되었기 때문이라면 분명히 사탄은 (하나님의 허락 속에서) 우리의 모든 소유물(물질과 자녀들)을 빼앗아 갈 것입니다. 과연 그래도 우리는 욥처럼 이 모든 일을 당하고도 범죄하거나 하나님을 원망하지 않고 오히려 "내가 태어날 때 아무것도 가져온 것 없었으니 죽을 때에도 아무것도 가져가지 못하리라 주신 자도 여호와시요 가져가신 자도 여호와시니 여호와의 이름이 찬양을 받으시기 원하노라"고 말할 수 있을까요?
