마땅히 주님께서는 홀로 영광을 받으셔야 합니다!
예수 그리스도의 복음을 전하다가 스데반이 죽임을 당했을 때 그의 죽음을 "마땅히" 여겼던 사울이 (사도행전 8:1) 고린도 교회 성도들에게
"사람들은 '마땅히' 우리를 그리스도의
일꾼이며 하나님의 비밀을 맡은 사람으로 여겨야 합니다"라고 편지를 썼습니다(고린도전서 4:1, 현대인의 성경). 그리스도의 일꾼이요 하나님의 비밀인 그리스도의 복음을 전한
스데반의 죽임을 마땅이 여겼던 자가 자신을 그리스도의 일꾼이며 하나님이 비밀을 맡은 사람으로 마땅이 여겨야 한다고 말한 것입니다. 사울을 바울로 변화시시킨 주님께서 마땅히 홀로 영광을 받으셔야
했던 것처럼 우리를 그리스도의 일꾼이요 그리스도의 복음 전파자로 변화시켜주신 주님께서는 마땅히 홀로 영광을 받으셔야 합니다!
