The Inseparable Love of God (1) [ Romans 8:38-39 ] Why can nothing separate us from the love of God? 1. Because God’s love is eternal. Romans 8:29a says: “For those whom He foreknew…” The word “foreknew” refers to before eternity began —before the creation of heaven and earth . The phrase “those whom He foreknew” does not simply mean knowing about someone intellectually, but rather loving them. In other words, it refers to “those whom God loved from eternity past.” Amos 3:2a says: “You only have I known of all the families of the earth.” If “known” merely meant intellectual knowledge, that would imply that God only knew Israel and did not know the other nations—which cannot be true, because the all-knowing God lacks knowledge of nothing. Therefore, “I have known you only” means “I have loved you only.” God loved Israel among all the nations of the earth. 성령님으로 잉태되신 아기 예수님을 생각할 도저히 불가능 한 성령님의 3가지 놀라운 역사를
묵상하게 되었습니다:
(1) 성령님께서는
이미(과거) 허물과 죄로 인하여 영적으로 죽었던 우리를 다시 살리셨습니다(첫째 부활)(중생)(엡2:1).
우리는 아담의 범죄로 말미암아 하나님과 분리되어 영적으로
이미 죽었던 사람들이요, 육체적으로 죽을 수밖에 없었던 사람들이요, 또한 하나님과 영원하고 완전하게 분리되어 영원히 죽을 수밖에 없었던 죄인들이었습니다. 그런데 성령님께서는 이러한 사망진단서를 받은 우리를
다시 살리셨습니다(중생).
(2) 성령님께서는 지금(현재) 허물과 죄가 많은 우리를 거룩하게 만드시사 하나님의 형상으로 새롭게 하고
계십니다(성화). “성도의 성화는 하나님의 거룩하게 하시는 은혜의 역사로
이로 인해 우리가 하나님의 형상을 좇아 인격이 새로워지게 되고 점점 죄에 대하여는 죽고 의에 대하여는 살게 되는 것입니다”(소요리문답).
(3) 성령님은 장차(미래) 예수님께서 다시 오실 때 성령님께서는 죽은 성도들을 다시 살리실 것이요(둘째 부활) 그 때까지 살아있는 성도들은 홀연히 변화시키실 것입니다(영화). 죽은
자의 부활은 썩을 몸이 썩지 않을 몸으로, 욕된 몸이 영광스러운 몸으로, 약한 몸이 강한 몸으로, 육의 몸이 신령한 몸으로 부활할 것입니다. 우리는 하늘에 속한자의 형상을 입을 것입니다. 그 후에 우리 살아남은 사람들도 그들과 함께 구름 속으로
끌려 올라가 공중에서 주님을 만나 영원의 주님과 함께 있을 것입니다.
